Due to unemployment, and thus financial hardship, I have changed my policy of not adding labor cost to my rosaries. I hope that you can understand why this is necessary and will continue to support my apostolate. At this time I need to support my family with my skills and resources. I have not added much to the cost of each item -- not as much as most vendors would, doubling or tripling their cost -- but just enough to contribute a small amount to my family's income.

"Tell me, can anyone receive Jesus into his heart and not die? "

Those words were spoken often by Imelda Lambertini, the patron saint of First Communicants. Miraculously, her words were most prophetic. Her story, from catholicculture.org:

Blessed Imelda Lambertini is a model for all in her great love for the Blessed Sacrament. Born in Bologna, she was a pious child who begged her parents to allow her to become a Dominican when she was just nine. Her parents, though saddened at having to be separated from their only child, recognized God's will for their daughter, and Imelda joined the nuns at Val di Pietra. Her status among the nuns is unclear. She received the habit and participated in the life of the nuns to some extent. At that time, children were not allowed to make their First Holy Communion until age 14, but Imelda prayed continually that she would be able to receive Our Lord without having to wait so long. When she was 11, after Mass on the vigil of the Feast of the Ascension, the Sacred Host was seen suspended amidst a brilliant light above Imelda's head. The chaplain, who was immediately summoned, gave the Host to Imelda. Afterwords, the nuns left her alone to make her thanksgiving. The prioress soon discovered, however, that Imelda, who had been in ecstasy, had died shortly after receiving her First Holy Communion, so much in love was she with Our Lord in the Eucharist. Blessed Imelda was declared Patroness of First Communicants by Pope St. Pius X.

I just wanted to share that story today because I have always found it fascinating. If you have a son or daughter, or grandchild, making his or her First Eucharist this year, please pass on the story of Blessed Imelda, and ask for her prayers.

I have three First Holy Communion rosaries, one for a boy and two for girls.

This rosary is made with amethyst glass beads, and has a chalice center and lily of the valley crucifix.  The Our Father beads are aurora borealis glass with silver caps.

Ever this day be at my side...

Angel of God,
my guardian dear,
to whom God's love commits me here,
ever this day,
be at my side
to light and guard,
to rule and guide.

The Guardian Angel prayer is one of my very favorites and I enjoy hearing my daughter recite it every night before bed. It is good to be reminded that we have a heaven-sent friend with us every day as we go about our daily work. It is both comforting to know that I have my own angel, and, as a mother, to know that my children have theirs. I often ask my own angel to tell my children's angels to be extra vigilant when I know they need the extra care.

This lovely rosary is a nice reminder to a child to pray often to their own angel, and to remember to ask Our Lord's precious Mother to pray for us as well.

The Ave beads on this rosary are 6mm, light sapphire, faceted glass, and the Pater Noster beads are 8mm faceted clear glass. The Pater beads are capped with silver. The center is an image of the Guardian Angel and the crucifix is a simple nickel style. This rosary would be lovely as a Baptism gift or for a First Holy Communion, or for any young person.

On this day we give thee our love.

All the Beats of My Heart

Act of Love to the Sacred Heart

Reveal Thy Sacred Heart to me, O Jesus, and show me Its attractions. Unite me to It for ever. Grant that all my aspirations and all the beats of my heart, which cease not even while I sleep, may be a testimonial to Thee of my love for Thee and may say to Thee: Yes, Lord, I am all Thine; the pledge of my allegiance to Thee rests ever in my heart and will never cease to be there. Do Thou accept the slight amount of good that I do and be graciously pleased to repair all my wrongdoing; so that I may be able to bless Thee in time and in eternity. Amen.

Such a beautiful prayer, and such aspirations to love My Lord with all the beats of my heart.

This rosary is a lovely reminder to love My Lord with all the beats of my heart...with His Sacred Heart inside the brass heart center. The center and lovely ornate crucifix are both solid brass.

O Sacred Heart

Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
O most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you, and with lively sorrow for my sins I offer you this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure and wholly obedient to your will. Grant, Good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you. Protect me in the midst of danger. Comfort me in my afflictions. Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Amen.

Corona

St Louis de Montfort  ~~ "Mary is Queen of heaven and earth by grace, as Jesus is the King of them by nature and conquest."

I have written before about the titles of the King and His Mother. The King's mother is always the Queen, and rightly with Jesus as Our King, His Mother is Our Queen. As Queen, Mary has great influence over Jesus. Just as He did at the wedding of Cana, Jesus takes direction from His Mother, and she directs us to Him.

"At the wedding in Cana he changed water into wine at her humble prayer, and this was his first miracle in the order of nature. He began and continued his miracles through Mary and he will continue them through her until the end of time" ~~ St. Louis de Montfort

We should always listen to Our Queen, as she will always direct us toward Our King.

The f this rosary is one of my favorites, as is the crucifix. I paired the regal blue pearls with a beautiful soft shade of yellow. The Ave beads are 6mm deep blue Swarovski crsytal pearls, and the Pater Noster beads are 6mm jonquil Swarovski crystals, capped with bronze caps. They are strung on 49-strand, flexible steel wire with light lemon yellow Czech and bronze seed beads. The center and the crucifix are both hand cast from solid bronze.
