Due to unemployment, and thus financial hardship, I have changed my policy of not adding labor cost to my rosaries. I hope that you can understand why this is necessary and will continue to support my apostolate. At this time I need to support my family with my skills and resources. I have not added much to the cost of each item -- not as much as most vendors would, doubling or tripling their cost -- but just enough to contribute a small amount to my family's income.

This rosary, has at its center, a beautiful image of the Pieta -- the crucified Christ in His mother's arms. It is a beautiful image.

The rosary is made with 7mm rosewood Ave beads, lightly varnished, but pale in color, and 9-10 mm sky blue, tan and white, handmade clay Pater Noster beads flanked with silver nickel caps. The Ave beads are separated by a pearl blue Czech glass seed bead and all beads are strung on sturdy, flexible steel wire.

Rose-Scented Tenner

This little tenner is made with rose-scented, painted wood beads. They are 6mm, painted a rose red color, and have a soft rosie smell. They are linked with nickel eyepins and chain. The crucifix at one end is nickel, a pretty design with flowers at the ends, and the medal is an Our Lady of Fatima medal. The Pater Noster bead has nickel silver caps.

A tenner rosary is the perfect size to tuck in one's pocket or purse for praying one decade or a whole rosary.

Mystical Rose

THERE is no rose of such virtue
As is the rose that bear Jesu:
Alleluia.

For in this rose containĂ©d was
Heaven and earth in little space:
Res Miranda.

By that rose we may well see
There be one God in Persons Three:
Pares forma.

The angels sang, the shepherds too:
Gloria in Excelsis Deo:
Gaudeamus.

Leave we all this worldly mirth
And follow we this joyful birth:
Transeamus.

Lovely Lady in blue

Lovely Lady dressed in blue
 Teach me how to pray!
God was just your little boy,
 Tell me what to say!

There are not many times when I am tempted to keep, or recreate for myself, a rosary that I have made. I realize that it would be a form of gluttony to want more than I need to have a devotion to the rosary.

This rosary almost undid me. I fell in love with it and have, thusfar, resisted recreating it. It is really, really beautiful, especially if you like blue. And I make no claim on its beauty -- it comes from the sum of its parts, and each piece is really, really pretty.

The Ave beads are blue dumortierite, and the Paternoster beads are 8mm indigo Swarovski crystal, flanked with copper caps and 4mm bicone Swarovski clear crystals. They are strung on flexible steel wire with cobalt blue and brass Charlotte seed beads.

This rosary is made with a beautiful Ave Maria bronze piece at its center. It is paired with a simple yet elegant bronze crucifix, both hand cast from vintage pieces.

Old World Rosaries

Sometimes the combination of beads and metal parts creates a rosary that looks decades old. Sometimes it even looks like it is from another place as well as time. These rosaries pictured today, to me, look Old World, like they are from Spain, or Italy or Mexico. I love the look, though in most cases it is completely accidental.

This rosary was commissioned by my husband's aunt for her daughter. She gave me no direction except turquoise beads and bronze metal. We agreed Our Lady of Guadalupe would make a nice center. She also asked that it be wire-wrapped. Everything else just fell together from what I had on-hand. I hope my husband's cousin likes it, and I hope it gets lots of prayers.

The Ave beads are 6mm turquoise, the Pater Noster beads are 8mm red jasper, cradled with filigree bronze caps. They are hand wrapped with 22 gauge bronze wire.

The Our Lady of Guadalupe center and crucifix are solid bronze, hand cast in the U.S. from vintage pieces.

This tenner rosary was commissioned by a young man finishing nursing school. I love the scapular medal, with the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on one side and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel on the other. This particular medal is really beautiful.

The Aves are 8mm poppy jasper beads and the Pater Noster is an 8mm black onyx bead, flanked by 4mm bicone Swarovski bronze crystals.

The Pater Noster beads are 8mm poppy jasper, cradled with bronze filigree caps. They are strung on 48-strand flexible steel wire with silver-lined gold and brass charlotte seed beads.

Mother's Day Key Fobs

A friend recently commissioned me to make a couple key fobs for her Mother's Day gifts and one for her daughter, a new driver. These little pretties clip right onto your key ring, and they make it easy to find your keys in your purse.

The crystals on the first two, the ones I made for my friend, are just gorgeous, I'm afraid the camera can't capture how pretty they are.

The last two are extras and are available here or through my Etsy shop.
